What is an Antihero?

An antihero is the protagonist in a story who, unlike a traditional hero, doesn’t posses conventional heroic qualities like morality, integrity, idealism, loyalty and sympathy. Great movies and TV shows of the past have shown that we don’t need a likeable heroic protagonists in order to have a great story. All that really matters to our audience is that our main character is interesting and makes compelling decisions.
